Your bridal fair was hosted by wedding magazine editor Mona Grudt, and the event also served as a launch party for the latest edition of her magazine Ditt Bryllup.
Exhibitors from the industry had found their way to present relevant products and services.
On display were wedding dresses, bridal accessories and booths with related services like photographers and pastries. Guests were able to talk to representatives of the industry, and book private, often discounted, appointments.
The highlight of the event was the fashion show, introduced by Miss Grudt.
Since you put so much time and effort into it, it’s important to take lots of photos and videos, so you can re-experience the big day, Miss Grudt pointed out while sharing some tips on how to handle the days before and after the wedding day.
The show opened with Norwegian bridal designers Morami and Sadoni Couture, showing off a collection of simple, long line chiffon dresses with sparkling stones and embroidery. In between, young flower girls were dancing down the runway, and there were also some suites for the grooms.
Accompanied by live music, pastel coloured evening dresses in light materials were shown to give upcoming wedding guests some inspiration.
Bridal stores Ski Brudesalong and Brudekjolen finished off with a collection of their wedding outfits for both grooms and brides. Attached flowers and sateen ribbons marked their pieces.
The show concluded with the announcement of Thomas Larsen as wedding photographer of the year 2010 for his photo of two brides lying heart-shaped on the church floor.
Heading out on a cold winter day the upcoming brides’ hopes and dreams had been temporarily satisfied until they say “I do”.
